This Is Why Meghan Markle Always Chooses High Heels
25 K
High-heeled shoes are one of those things that make every woman a bit more confident. However, what most of us enjoy even more than wearing them is taking them off. This item has become an integral element of many celebrities’ style, including the two Duchesses – Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. Even pregnancy didn’t make the Duchess of Cambridge bury all her pumps deep in the wardrobe!
At the same time, Kate is no stranger to flats, if they don’t contradict the format of the event.

Out of Queen Elizabeth’s sight, Kate also occasionally indulges herself in more comfortable wedged models, which the reigning monarch considers inappropriate in the official outfit.

As for Meghan, after the announcement of her engagement with Prince Harry, we have hardly ever seen her in anything but exceptionally elegant high heels.

Moreover, she almost always goes for shoes a size larger. But it has a simple explanation: many celebrities do this for the sake of comfort when they need to spend a lot of time on their feet.

But what prevents the Duchess of Sussex from putting on more comfortable shoes to sporting events, for example?

It should be noted that a few years ago, she was often seen in neat flats. They are way more comfortable and, besides, experts advise against wearing heels all the time.

Even in their first joint photo, Harry and Meghan are in most ordinary clothes – a loose shirt, jeans, and flats.

In fact, nothing prevents the Duchess from wearing comfortable footwear after the marriage, except for one thing: the Duchess and her husband have a rather substantial difference in height: 5′6 and 6′1, respectively. It’s not that big, because there are many happy couples in which one of the spouses is significantly taller than the other. Still, Meghan knows that a big difference in height is especially striking in photos. The couple doesn’t seem to look that balanced next to each other, which is also confirmed by a famous celebrity photographer, Glenn Gratton.

At times, Meghan skillfully compensates the difference in height with her fashion choices. Laconic dresses and pencil skirts of medium length, as well as a high waistline, do the trick.

Despite the fact that sometimes Markle may suffer the inconvenience of wearing high heels, there is every reason to believe that it will remain her number one choice at least for official events. It seems to us that Meghan has already got well into her new role and is confident in any situation, don’t you think?
