Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley’s relationship seemed like something quite natural. But the cupid waited for a while to strike his amorous arrows as the two had started their relationship with friendship.

However, with time Michael and Lisa became more than just friends and the singer proposed to his beloved. The couple married in a secret wedding, later dubbed as “The Marriage of the Century”, but their union lasted only for 2 years.

But could it be possible that the King of Pop’s intentions were very far from pure when he popped the question to Lisa?

Michael Jackson’s formal maid Adrian McManus, who worked for a singer for 4 years, insists that he never actually loved Lisa Marie Presley. He only married her because he wanted to get her famous father’s catalog of music.

Former maid revealed that the King of Pop had a cunning plan to acquire the right to a number of Elvis’ songs, as well as his fortune. McManus, reportedly, found out about this after discovering a note on Jackson’s “to do” board in his bedroom that said, “Got to acquire the song list for Elvis.”

After that, Lisa Marie suddenly made an appearance in the singer’s life. Adrian says she felt sorry for her:

The former maid didn’t correlate the note with Presley’s presence first because she thought it might mean something like a business plan. But when the King of Pop proposed to Elvis’ daughter, she released the true meaning.

Whether it’s true or not, we will never know. But Lisa Marie did love Jackson and tried to save him but it was all in vain.

Nonetheless, we are certain that he will always have a special place in her heart.
